Gabriele Metzler

Gabriele Metzler (born 1967) is a historian who holds a doctorate in philosophy. In 2007, she was appointed professor of the history of Western Europe and transatlantic relations at Humboldt University of Berlin. Before that, she was among other roles head of the Volkswagen Foundation’s junior research group “Governing in the 20th Century.”
