Friedrich Voit

Friedrich Voit (born 1947) studied German, Classical Philology and Archaeology at the universities of Mannheim, Saarbrücken and Bonn. From 1978 onward, he taught modern German literature in the Department of German and Slavonic Studies at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. He published monographs and editions on, among others, Karl Wolfskehl and Gerson Stern, as well as studies of popular enlightenment, J. M. R. Lenz and literature in exile. He also edited the works of the German-Jewish writer Gerson Stern (1874–1956).
