Frido Mann (born 1940 in Monterey, California) was the son of writer Michael Mann and a grandson of Thomas Mann. After studying music, Catholic theology (Dr. theol.) and psychology, he worked as a clinical psychologist and professor of clinical psychology in Münster, Leipzig and Prague. He later worked as a freelance writer. His publications include the novels “Professor Parsifal,” “Der Infant,” “Terezin oder Der Führer schenkt den Juden eine Stadt,” “Brasa,” “Hexenkinder,” “Nachthorn” and “Babylon,” as well as the autobiographical essay “An die Musik.” With Christine Mann, he published “Es werde Licht” and “Im Lichte der Quanten.”
