Federico Italiano

Federico Italiano, born in Novara in 1976, is an Italian poet, translator and editor. By 2022, he had published five poetry collections, most recently “Sieben Arten von Weiß” (2022). His poetry has been translated into several languages. In 2020, he received the Tirinnanzi Prize. Together with Jan Wagner, he edited the anthology “Grand Tour: Reisen durch die junge Lyrik Europas” (2019). His academic work has included research at the Austrian Academy of Sciences and teaching Comparative Literature at LMU Munich. His research interests include the relationship between literature and cartography, translation theory and contemporary poetry.
