Falun Ellie Koos, born in 1992, is a writer and filmmaker. Koos’s debut novel, “Zähe Hunde,” was nominated for several awards, including the shortlist for the Libris Literature Prize. The Dutch newspaper Het Parool selected the novel as one of the ten best books of the year. In 2022, Koos won the Joost Zwagerman Essay Prize, and in 2023 received a Cronestipendium from the city of Utrecht for promising authors.
