F Scott Fitzgerald

F. Scott Fitzgerald (1896–1940) was an American writer. He studied at Princeton University, served in the U.S. Army during World War I, and initially worked as a reporter in New York. His debut novel, *This Side of Paradise*, was published in 1920 and brought him widespread recognition. His major works also include *The Beautiful and Damned*, *The Great Gatsby* (1925), and *Tender Is the Night*. During the 1930s, Fitzgerald worked as a screenwriter in Hollywood. He married Zelda Sayre in 1920, and the couple lived in France for periods of time.
