Ewald Plachutta

Ewald Plachutta, born in Vienna in 1940, is an Austrian chef and cookbook author. A three-toque chef, he became particularly known for his beef cuisine and founded the Plachutta culinary dynasty. He was named Chef of the Year in 1991, received the Trophée Gourmet, and was awarded a Michelin star in 1993. His notable books include *Plachutta Kochschule* and *Der Goldene Plachutta*.
