Evelyn Deutsch-Schreiner

Evelyn Deutsch-Schreiner is an Austrian theatre scholar and dramaturg. In 1999, she was appointed full professor of dramaturgy, theatre history and literary history at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, where she also headed the Institute of Acting. Before that, she worked as a theatre dramaturg at the Landestheater Linz and the Wiener Volkstheater. Her scholarly work focused on political theatre history, new drama, and the relationship between theatre and the avant-garde, particularly in Austria.
