Eveline Passet

Eveline Passet (born 1958) studied Slavic and Romance languages and literature in Paris. She worked as a literary translator from Russian and French and as a writer of radio features. Authors she translated include Daniel Pennac, Benjamin Constant, Alfred de Musset, Vasily Rozanov, Vasily Golovanov, Alexander Kuprin, and Mikhail Prishvin. In 2012, she co-edited the anthology »Im Bergwerk der Sprache. Eine Geschichte des Deutschen in Episoden« with Gabriele Leupold. She received the Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft Translation Prize in 2014 and the Zuger Translation Fellowship in 2017 for her life’s work and her work on Mikhail Prishvin’s diaries.
