Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann

Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann (1776–1822) was a German poet of the Romantic period. Alongside his literary work, he worked as a lawyer, composer, Kapellmeister, music critic, draughtsman, and caricaturist. He became particularly known for his novellas.
