Eric Ottenheijm

Eric Ottenheijm (born 1961) studied theology and Jewish studies. In 1993, he began teaching Jewish studies and biblical exegesis at Fontys University of Applied Sciences, as well as Jewish studies and Aramaic literature at the University of Amsterdam. From 2001 onward, he taught as a professor at Utrecht University. His research focused on rabbinic literature and the New Testament, particularly the Gospel of Matthew and the material culture of Galilee. He was also involved in Jewish-Christian dialogue in the Netherlands.
