Emran Feroz, born in Innsbruck in 1991, is a journalist whose work focuses on the Middle East, Central Asia and Afghanistan. He has worked for media outlets including The New York Times, Die Zeit, taz, Al Jazeera, CNN, Foreign Policy and Deutschlandfunk. His books include “Tod per Knopfdruck” (2017), about the US drone war, and “Der längste Krieg. 20 Jahre War on Terror” (2021). Feroz founded Drone Memorial, a virtual memorial for civilian victims of drone strikes. In 2021, he received the Austrian Concordia Prize in the Human Rights category.
