Emmanuel Bove (1898–1945) was a French writer and journalist. Before establishing himself through his literary work, he held various jobs. His first novel, Mes amis (My Friends), brought him a literary breakthrough. Over the following two decades, he published a total of 23 novels and more than 30 short stories. After his death, his work was largely forgotten for a time and was later rediscovered, including in the German-speaking world through Peter Handke.
