Elizabeth Hay, born in 1951 in Owen Sound, Ontario, is a Canadian writer. In the 1970s, she lived in Yellowknife, where she worked as a radio presenter. She has published six novels as well as numerous short stories, essays, and memoirs. Her novel Wie Zugvögel received the Scotiabank Giller Prize.
