Eliot Pattison

Eliot Pattison (born 1951) is an American lawyer, journalist, and crime writer. A specialist in international law, he worked as a lawyer and consultant for international companies and published on legal and international subjects. His book *Breaking Boundaries* (1996) was selected by The New York Times as one of the five best management books of the year. Travels in China and Tibet inspired his crime series featuring former investigator Shan Tao Yun. The first novel, *The Skull Mantra*, was awarded the Edgar Allan Poe Award.
