Elin Anna Labba

Elin Anna Labba, born in 1980 in Kiruna in northern Sweden, is a Swedish Sámi journalist and author. She studied journalism at the University of Gothenburg. Her first book, published in 2020, deals with the forced relocation of the Sámi and was also motivated by her wish to better understand her own family history. It won Sweden’s August Prize in the nonfiction category and the Norrlands Literature Prize in 2021. *Das Echo der Sommer* is her first novel.
