Hanna Granz, born in 1977, studied Scandinavian studies and literary studies in Bonn; some biographical sources also mention Greifswald. After several years working at the Literaturhaus Leipzig, she began working as a freelance translator in 2012. She translated mainly from Swedish, as well as from Norwegian and Danish, including works by Tove Alsterdal, Johanne Lykke Holm, Alex Schulman, Patrik Svensson, and Sofie Sarenbrant. She also produced new German translations of short stories by Selma Lagerlöf.
