Egbert Herfurth

Egbert Herfurth (born 1944 in Wiese, Silesia) is a German graphic artist and book illustrator. After training as an offset retoucher, he studied at the Academy of Visual Arts and Book Design in Leipzig under Wolfgang Mattheuer and became a master student of Albert Kapr there. From 1977 onward, he worked as a freelance artist. His work includes around 180 book illustrations, as well as numerous posters and paintings.
