Born in 1957, Edo Popović is a Croatian writer. He was a co-founder of Quorum, an influential underground literary magazine in the former Yugoslavia. His first novel, Ponoćni boogie (Midnight Boogie, 1987), became a cult book of his generation. From 1991 to 1995, Popović worked as a war correspondent in Croatia. He subsequently published further novels and short-story collections, including The Uprising of the Inedible, Zagreb South Exit and Stalin’s Pear, as well as the essay Instructions for Walking.
