Edmond de Goncourt

Edmond de Goncourt (1822–1896) was a French writer. Together with Jules de Goncourt (1830–1870), he published several novels and kept a widely noted diary from 2 December 1851 onward. After Jules’s death, Edmond continued the diary alone until his own death.
