Edith Meinhart

Edith Meinhart is an Austrian journalist and author. She worked as an editor for the news magazine profil from 1998 and spent a total of 26 years at the publication. Her journalistic work focuses particularly on sociopolitical issues and the effects of immigration on society. She has received several awards, including the EU Journalism Award “For Diversity. Against Discrimination” in 2009, the Prof. Claus Gatterer Prize in 2010, the Prälat Leopold Ungar Journalism Prize in 2013, and the Concordia Human Rights Award in 2016.
