Eckart Bueren

Eckart Bueren studied law in Münster and Bonn and economics in Hagen. He passed his first state examination in 2005 and his second in 2007, received a degree in economics in 2011, and earned a doctorate in law from the University of Bonn that same year. He subsequently worked as a research associate and adviser on Swiss law at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg. He completed his habilitation in 2018. He taught at Bucerius Law School and at the universities of Passau and Göttingen. In 2019, he was appointed professor of civil law, competition law, commercial and corporate law, and comparative law at the University of Göttingen.
