Dirk Rossmann, born in Hanover in 1946, is an entrepreneur and writer. After training as a druggist, he took over responsibility for his family’s drugstore at an early age and founded Germany’s first self-service drugstore in 1972. His autobiography, »… dann bin ich auf den Baum geklettert!« (2018), and the thrillers »Der neunte Arm des Oktopus« (2020) and »Der Zorn des Oktopus« (2021) reached No. 1 on the SPIEGEL bestseller list. His other publications include »Das dritte Herz des Oktopus« (2023) and »Keine Zeit für Pessimismus« (2025).
