Dietrich Sagert

Dietrich Sagert (born in 1963 in Waren/Müritz, Germany) is a cultural scientist and theatre director. He studied theology, philosophy, music and theatre and earned a doctorate in cultural studies at Humboldt University of Berlin with a dissertation on filmmaker Andrei Tarkovsky. As a theatre director, he worked in Paris and Luxembourg, among other places. He also worked as a lecturer in oratory and rhetoric at the Centre for Protestant Worship and Preaching Culture of the Evangelical Church in Germany in Wittenberg.
