Dietmar Neutatz

Dietmar Neutatz is a historian. He was Professor of Modern and Eastern European History at the University of Freiburg. His research focused on the history of Russia and the Soviet Union in the 19th and 20th centuries, Germans in Eastern Europe, Stalinism, heroization, and everyday life and lived experiences. He also served as one of the responsible editors of the Jahrbücher für Geschichte Osteuropas, a journal of East European history.
