Diethelm Kaiser

Diethelm Kaiser (born 1957) studied German literature, philosophy and art history. He subsequently worked as a research associate at the universities of Hagen and Bonn. From 2001 to 2016, he was chief editor and program director at Berlin’s Nicolai Verlag, and he also taught at the University of Potsdam. Kaiser wrote and edited numerous books, including works on Paul Gauguin, Franz Kafka and the artists’ group Die Schule der Neuen Prächtigkeit. He also published articles on the Hotel Adlon and New Objectivity photography in anthologies, catalogs and journals.
