Dieter Kühn (1935–2015) was a German writer, biographer, radio-play author and translator of Middle High German literature. He was born in Cologne and died in Brühl. His works include biographies of Clara Schumann, Maria Sibylla Merian, Gertrud Kolmar and Oswald von Wolkenstein, the novel »Geheimagent Marlowe«, the study »Schillers Schreibtisch in Buchenwald« and the story collection »Ich war Hitlers Schutzengel«. His literary work received, among other honors, the Hermann Hesse Prize, the Grand Literature Prize of the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts and the Carl Zuckmayer Medal in 2014.
