Diane Broeckhoven

Diane Broeckhoven (born 1946 in Antwerp, Belgium) is an author and freelance journalist. She studied rhetoric and literature at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp and wrote numerous children’s and young adult books as well as novels for adults. Her work received several awards, including Belgian Children’s Book of the Year and the Flemish Youth Literature Prize twice. Her novels include *Een reis met Alice* (*A Journey with Alice*), *Herrn Sylvains verschlungener Weg zum Glück* and *Ein Tag mit Herrn Jules*. The latter was published in sixteen countries and sold more than 250,000 copies.
