Detlef Lehnert

Detlef Lehnert (born 1955, Dr. phil.) was a professor of political science at Freie Universität Berlin until 2023. His research focuses on the Weimar Republic, particularly the Weimar Constitution in comparison with Germany’s Basic Law, as well as political culture and social democracy. He has also led the Hugo Preuß Foundation and the Paul Löbe Foundation for Weimar Democracy.
