Dennis Meadows was a systems scientist who taught engineering, management, and social sciences. He wrote numerous books on questions concerning the future. He became particularly well known for “The Limits to Growth” (1972), the popular version of a research project conducted at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The study was commissioned by the Club of Rome and funded by the Volkswagen Foundation.
