David Klass

David Klass, born in Vermont in 1960, is the author of numerous young adult books and has written more than 25 screenplays for Hollywood. As a teenager, he was a competitive chess player in the post-Bobby Fischer era. He gave up chess at 19 and returned to the game decades later when his two children began taking part in school tournaments.
