Daniele Meocci

Daniele Meocci (born 1964) trained as a primary school teacher and worked, among other jobs, as a ferryman on the Aare River. He began writing during this period, and some of his stories were published as comics. After a year of study at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig, he received a literary award for a short story. Meocci worked for many years as a primary school teacher and initially developed teaching materials and stories for his own use. He later wrote picture books, early-reader books, children’s books and young adult fiction, including Maunzer.
