Colin Meloy

Colin Meloy was born in Montana in 1974 and studied creative writing in Montana and Oregon. He later founded the band The Decemberists, with whom he achieved international success. As an author, he published the young adult novel Wildwood, whose world he developed together with illustrator Carson Ellis. Meloy is married to Ellis and has one son.
