Claudia Rimkus was born in Hannover in 1956. She began writing poetry, stories, short fiction and novels in her youth. Her first stories were published as serials in the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung and affiliated local newspapers. She later published several novels and short-story collections, including “Erlenried,” “Uhlenbrock,” “Rabeneck,” “Eichengrund” and “Mörderisches aus Hannover.” Hannover, the city with which she was closely associated, frequently serves as the setting for her stories. In addition to writing, she pursued photography, and her photographs received several awards.
