Clara Suetens

Clara Suetens was born in Tienen, Flanders, Belgium. She initially earned a doctorate in sociology and political philosophy and worked for seven years as a research assistant at the University of Leuven. After the birth of her two sons, she returned to the arts, studying graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp before working as an illustrator. She first drew imaginary creatures for her own children and later illustrated picture books.
