Christine Eisel is a lawyer and holds a degree in psychology. Her prose focuses on psychological, poetic, and quirky aspects of everyday life, as well as human behavior in ordinary and extreme situations. She draws on many years of work as a divorce lawyer for her short stories and novels about relationships, separations, and divorce. She has published numerous short stories and poems in anthologies and has received awards in several poetry and short-story competitions. She has also written popular novels, children’s books, and nonfiction guides. From 2010 to 2012, she co-organized the Gladbecker Buchkultur literary festival. Eisel is also a trained singer and plays the saxophone and guitar.
