Christoph Buchwald

Christoph Buchwald, born in Tübingen in 1951, studied art history, literary studies and experimental composition. He worked as an editor and publisher, supporting numerous poets. From 1979 to 2021, he edited the “Jahrbuch der Lyrik” (Yearbook of Poetry). From 2002 onward, he co-directed the literary publisher Cossee in Amsterdam with his wife. He also translated poetry from Dutch. His editorial work includes the “Jahrbuch der Lyrik” and the anthology “100 Gedichte der DDR” (“100 Poems of the GDR”), which he edited with Klaus Wagenbach.
