Christine Bischoff

Dr. Christine Bischoff studied empirical cultural studies and German studies in Tübingen, completing her degree with a Magister Artium in 2002. She subsequently worked as a freelancer and as a research assistant at the Seminar for European Ethnology in Basel, where she completed her doctorate in 2012. She then worked at the Institute of Folklore and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Hamburg. Her research interests include visual anthropology, migration, transnationalism, and sociocultural mechanisms of inclusion and exclusion.
