Christian Humberg grew up in the Vulkaneifel region of Germany. Trained as a journalist and educated in literary studies, he works as an author and literary translator. His books include novels, comics, plays and nonfiction for children and adults, including the series Sagenhaft Eifel!, The Uncanny Cases of Lucius Adler, The Guardians of Aquaterra and Drachengasse 13. He has also written for Star Trek and Perry Rhodan Neo. His works have been translated into several languages and adapted for the stage on numerous occasions. In 2015, Humberg received the German Phantastik Prize at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
