Christian Berkel

Christian Berkel, born in West Berlin in 1957, is a German actor, audiobook and radio drama narrator, and author. He appeared in numerous German and international film and television productions, including »The Experiment«, »Downfall«, »Valkyrie« and Quentin Tarantino’s »Inglourious Basterds«. He also became widely known for his title role in the German crime series »Der Kriminalist«. In 2020, he received the German Audiobook Award for Best Performer. His debut novel, »Der Apfelbaum«, was published in 2018 and became a bestseller, as did its successor, »Ada«.
