Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie was born in Nigeria in 1977. She is a Nigerian writer and essayist. Her best-known works include the novels *Purple Hibiscus*, *Half of a Yellow Sun*, and *Americanah*. She received the Orange Prize for Fiction in 2007 for *Half of a Yellow Sun* and the National Book Critics Circle Award in 2013 for *Americanah*. Her other honors include the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize (2005) and the PEN Pinter Prize (2018). Adichie also gained international attention through her TED Talks “The Danger of a Single Story” and “We Should All Be Feminists,” which address stereotypes and feminism.
