Cher

Cher (born Cherilyn Sarkisian on May 20, 1946, in El Centro, California) is an American singer and actress. She became known in 1965 as part of the duo Sonny and Cher, notably through the song “I Got You Babe.” As a solo artist, she released numerous successful recordings and, according to publisher information, sold more than 200 million records worldwide. Her notable film roles include appearances in The Witches of Eastwick, Mermaids, Mamma Mia!, Moonstruck, and Suspect.
