Celil Oker

Celil Oker (1952–2019), born in Kayseri, studied English literature in Istanbul. He worked as a journalist and translator and managed an advertising agency. From 1998, he taught at the Faculty of Communication at Istanbul Bilgi University. In 1999, he entered the first Turkish crime-fiction competition and won first prize with his debut novel, “Snow on the Bosphorus.” He subsequently published five novels in the Remzi Ünal series.
