Caroline Criado-Perez (born 1984) is a British author, broadcast journalist and feminist activist. She has published in, among other outlets, the New Statesman and the Guardian, and wrote Do It Like a Woman as her first book. Her notable campaigns include co-funding the Women’s Room website, securing the depiction of a woman on British banknotes, prompting Twitter to change its approach to abuse, and supporting the erection of a statue of women’s rights campaigner Millicent Fawcett in Parliament Square. In 2013, she was named Human Rights Campaigner of the Year. In 2015, she was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).
