Carla Federico is a pen name used by the Austrian author Julia Kröhn, who was born in Linz in 1975. She studied, among other subjects, history, philosophy and theology, and worked as a television journalist and freelance author. Under various pen names, Kröhn has published children’s, fantasy and historical novels. In 2010, she received the international CORINE book prize for her novel “Im Land der Feuerblume.” An extended stay in Chile inspired one of her novels.
