Carl Maria von Weber

Carl Maria von Weber (1786–1826) was a German composer, conductor, and pianist of the Romantic period. He was one of the notable opera composers of the 19th century and is particularly regarded for establishing German Romantic opera with his opera “Der Freischütz.” His music is characterized by folk-influenced elements and a strong sense of dramatic stage effect.
