Caleb Everett is a cognitive scientist and professor of anthropology and psychology at the University of Miami. He grew up in Amazonia, where much of his research on the relationship between language, thought, and behavior was conducted. He received an Andrew Carnegie Fellowship for his work on human linguistic and cognitive diversity. His book “A Myriad of Tongues” won the Association of American Publishers’ PROSE Award and was named one of the best academic books of 2023 by the New Statesman.
