Bruno Frank (1887–1945) was a German writer. Born in Stuttgart, he initially studied law and earned a doctorate in philosophy in Tübingen. After the First World War, he became known primarily for his plays, stories, and novels. His notable works include the stories “Trenck” and “Politische Novelle,” the novel “Cervantes,” and the comedy “Sturm im Wasserglas.” In 1933, Frank emigrated via Europe to the United States. He died in Beverly Hills in 1945.
