Bruce Patton worked as a researcher and teacher at Harvard Law School and was a co-founder and member of the leadership of the Harvard Negotiation Project. For many years, he advised political and business figures on communication and negotiation techniques. As a mediator, he was involved in the Tehran hostage crisis and in negotiations aimed at ending apartheid in South Africa. He also published articles about his work in U.S. magazines.
