Brigitte Landes

Brigitte Landes, born in Frankfurt am Main in 1946, is a dramaturg, director, author and translator. From 1972 to 1994, she worked, among other positions, as a dramaturg at Frankfurt’s TAT, as an editor at Verlag der Autoren, and at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus and Thalia Theater in Hamburg, where she became chief dramaturg. From 1994 onward, she worked freelance as an author and translator and directed productions in Frankfurt am Main, at Staatstheater Kassel, Berliner Ensemble, Staatsschauspiel Dresden, Theater der Stadt Heidelberg and Nationaltheater Weimar.
